Promotion of Traditional India Sports
Traditional Indian wrestling isn't just a sport - it's an ancient subculture where wrestlers live and train together and follow strict rules on everything from what they can eat to what they can do in their spare time. The focus is on living a pure life, building strength and honing their wrestling skills. Trust regularly conducts National Level Wrestling Competition to promote traditional Indian Sport – ‘Kusti’ (Wrestling). Winners were awarded with Cash Prize with Gold Medal, Silver Medal and Silver Medal as First, Second & Third prizes respectively selected in different weight category.
Health Camps at regular intervals
The VRDM Trust’s initiatives in health are an attempt to bring free or minimal cost healthcare to the rural populations. The Trust is organizing health camps at regular intervals in various parts of Uttara Kannada and other neighbouring Districts.

Scholarship Distribution for meritorious and financially weaker students
The objective behind Pratibha Puraskar – Scholarship Distribution, is to recognize the merit of rural students and to felicitate them along with a monetary scholarship to further fuel their ambition and academic appetite.
These scholarships are given on an annual basis to meritorious students of Standards X and XII who have scored above 75% in the Haliyal and Dandeli region of North Kanara District
