About School

The chairman of Shri V R D M Trust in Haliyal Shri. R. V. Deshpande had long cherished a dream of having a school of excellence in Haliyal for the betterment of the children of Haliyal town and surrounding areas. He was interested in having a school comparing with urban counterparts. Thus Shri. V.R.D.M Trust High School popularly known as V.V.D School of Excellence was born. He initiated the school and commenced its operations from the academic year 2005 with less than 100 students in smaller premises. The present campus of the school came into existence in the year 2008 the first batch of 10th standard is moving out in March 2012. 

Around 400 students from Haliyal and nearby areas are studying in the school. School is affiliated to central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi. It has received Composite provisional Secondary Affiliation in the August 2011. First batch of students have appeared for the AISSE – March 2012.
